Prepare for your trip

Pre-Departure Checklist

Before you depart for Canada, make sure to complete the following checklist:

· Upload your IELTS exam results on Dayrah System and on MOHE website.

· Wait for placement.

· Your cultural office advisor will send you your authenticated admission package.

· Apply for a student visa.

· Send your visa once you get it to the cultural office.

· Apply for expenses allowance from MOHE.

· Book your flight.

· Arrange for accommodation.

· Notify your bank and phone company of your travel plans.

· Pack your bags with essential items (all important documents including IDs, admission package, paper for study permit).

Booking Flights

· You should book your flight to Canada as soon as possible to secure a seat at a reasonable price.

· You can book your flight online or through a travel agent.

· Make sure to check for any travel restrictions or requirements.

Obtaining a Student Visa

· Kuwaiti students will need a student visa to study in Canada.

· You can apply for a student visa via VFS Global in Kuwait.

· The visa processing time can take up to 8 weeks, so make sure to apply as soon as possible.

Accommodation

· Once you have all the papers ready (study permit copy, visa copy, bank – void check) send them to the Cultural office to start receiving your monthly allowances.
